Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup dark mustard seeds
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions 

  • Grind the mustard seeds in a spice blender or with a mortar and pestle until they have become a fine powder. Place the powder in a bowl.
  • Add the water and vinegar, stir well, and allow the mixture to stand for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients and blend well. This mixture will keep, covered and refrigerated, up to 4 months.
