Ingredients
  

  • 3 apples peeled, cored and diced into 1" pieces
  • 3 ripe pears peeled, cored and diced into 1" pieces
  • ½ tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup assorted dried fruits such as figs, apricots, prunes,
  • 1 tsp. McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats crumble
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour crumble
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar crumble
  • ¼ tsp. salt crumble
  • 1 tsp. McCormick Ground Cinnamon crumble
  • ½ tsp. McCormick Ground Ginger crumble
  • ½ tsp. McCormick Ground Cloves crumble
  • 1/2 cup chilled butter cut into 1/4" pieces (crumble)
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts or pecans crumble

Instructions 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8" baking dish.
  • 2. For the compote, combine apples, pears, lemon juice, dried fruits and vanilla in a bowl and toss to combine. Pour into prepared baking dish.
  • 3. For the crumble, whisk together oats, flour, brown sugar, salt and spices. Using your hands or two knives, crumble butter into oat mixture until it is combined and the size of peas. Mix in nuts and pour mixture over fruit in baking dish.
  • 4. Bake 40-45 minutes and serve warm from the oven.
