1tbsplemon juice or 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar or grated Parmesan cheeseoptional
Instructions
In 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter or margarine.
Add fresh bread crumbs; cook, tossing lightly, until crumbs are golden. Stir in thyme or basil until well mixed.
If you like, add lemon juice or Cheddar cheese.
Sprinkle Buttered Crumbs over drained, hot cooked vegetables.
POLONAISE SAUCE: Prepare Buttered Crumbs with lemon juice as above. Stir in 1 hard-cooked egg, chopped, 1 tbsp chopped parsley and 1/4 teaspoon salt until thoroughly mixed together.
