Ingredients
  

  • sufficient salad greens for four servings
  • 1 heel of stale baguette
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup champagne vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions 

  • Rub the heel of bread with the garlic. Place the greens and bread in a salad bowl, and toss. Beat the oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper together, and toss. Remove the bread and discard, and serve the salad.
