Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb mushrooms sliced
  • 1 whole medium onion sliced thin
  • 1/2 lb chicken livers
  • 1/2 lb chicken gizzards and hearts cooked and trimmed
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 4 slices toasted bread

Instructions 

  • Heat the butter, add the mushrooms and onion and cook until brown, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the chicken livers and cook 3 minutes. Add the gizzards and hearts and cook about 3 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper, add the wine and cook 2 minutes. Serve hot on toast squares.
