Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°.
Bring to a boil: 1 cup quick-cooking hominy grits, 3 cups milk, 1 teaspoon salt.
Add and cook until thickened: 2 beaten eggs, 3/4 cup milk.
Stir in and blend well: 1 cup shredded cheddar or garlic-flavored cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup chopped chives.
Bake in a buttered baking dish 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve hot.
