Ingredients

  • 6 whole pita pocket bread
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 whole medium delicious apple chopped
  • 1/4 cup dark seedless raisins
  • 1-1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 8 ozs plain yogurt

Instructions

  • Prepare Pita. Prepare Curried Beef: In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender; spoon off any excess fat. Add apple, raisins, salt and curry. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until apple is tender-crisp.
  • Cut each piece of pita bread in half to make 2 "pockets." Fill each half with about 1/3 cup beef mixture. Pass the plain yogurt separately to spoon into each sandwich
