Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1-1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375° F.
- Combine sugar, Butter Flavor Crisco, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375° F for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (they will appear light and moist--do not overbake) 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack. You may substitute an additional 112 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips for pecans.
