Ingredients
- 1 whole unbaked pie shell
- 1 ½ cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar can be part brown
- 1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter at room temperature
- 1/2 cup molasses
- ½ cup water boiling
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 whole egg yolk
Instructions
- Combine crumb ingredients together in a bowl. (flour, sugar, cinnamon, soda and buter)
- In another bowl, mix the molasses and water; blend in soda and egg yolk. Pour 1/3 of this mixture in the pie shell, and follow with a layer of crumbs. Repeat 2 times. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes.
