Ingredients
- 1 lb egg noodle thin boiled noodles
- 1 lb ground pork cooked
- 1 slice bread soaked in milk and wrung out
- 1 whole Fresh leeks bulb and lower leaf, minced
- ½ teaspoon fennel seed up to 1 tsp.
- ¼ cup parsley fresh chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 whole eggs
- 2/3 cup cream
- ¼ cup hard cheese grated
- 1/4 cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Have ready: 1 lb. fine Boiled Noodles.
- Combine: 1 lb. cooked ground pork, 1 slice bread, soaked in milk and wrung out, 1 minced leek, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, 1/4 cup chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
- In a shallow large baking pan, arrange alternate layers of noodles and pork mixture, ending with noodles. Beat together: 4 eggs, 2/3 cup cream, 1/4 cup grated hard cheese.
- Pour this mixture over the noodles and dot with: 1/4 cup butter.
- Bake about 45 minutes.
