Ingredients
- 12 oz. knockwurst
- 2 to 3 oz. vinegar
- 1 to 2 oz. water
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- 1 to 2 oz. oil
- 3 to 4 oz. onions finely sliced
- Pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves to line plates
Instructions
- Skin sausage and slice. Combine vinegar, water, dissolve salt and sugar, and add oil. Stir into sliced sausage and onion and season with pepper. Marinate for one hour. Arrange on lettuce leaf. Serve with rye or pumpernickel bread.
