Ingredients
- 2 tsp Crisco* butter-flavored shortening
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 lb mushrooms coarsely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 10 oz frozen broccoli thawed
- 1-1/2 cups matzoh meal farfel
- 3 servings egg substitute prepared
- 1 tbsp Nucoa Smart Beat* low-fat margarine
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp fresh basil leaves chopped
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Melt shortening in skillet. Sauté onions until soft. Add mushrooms and garlic; sauté until most of the liquid has evaporated. Transfer to medium bowl and allow to cool.
- Stir in chopped broccoli and farfel. Mix prepared egg substitute and melted reduced-fat margarine and add to broccoli-farfel mixture. Stir in seasonings.
