Ingredients
  

  • 1-1/4 lbs about 3 firm, unblemished apples
  • 2 tsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp confectioners' sugar.

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Peel the apples. Quarter them and cut away the core.
  • Arrange them cored side down in a buttered dish and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with the confectioners' sugar.
  • Place in the oven and bake 10 minutes. Before serving, run briefly under the broiler.
