Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb french bread cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 4 whole egg beaten
  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 cups milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp pure almond extract
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup dried apricots
  • 1 dash freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoon B&B liqueur

Instructions 

  • In a large bowl, place the bread slices. In another bowl, mix together the next ten ingredients and pour over the bread slices. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Pour the mixture into a buttered 2-1/2- to 3-quart baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until set.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle the liqueur over the top and serve immediately.
