Ingredients
- 1 lb french bread cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 4 whole egg beaten
- 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 6 cups milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup melted unsalted butter
- 4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tsp pure almond extract
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup dried apricots
- 1 dash freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon B&B liqueur
Instructions
- In a large bowl, place the bread slices. In another bowl, mix together the next ten ingredients and pour over the bread slices. Let stand for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Pour the mixture into a buttered 2-1/2- to 3-quart baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until set.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle the liqueur over the top and serve immediately.
