Chunky Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 whole medium onion peeled ad quartered
- 1/4 cup parsley leaves
- 3 whole garlic cloves smashed and peeled
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 4 cups lightly canned crushed tomatoes
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Put onions, parsley, and garlic in the workbowl of a food processor and process until finely chopped.
- Heat oil in a 2-quart soufflé dish, uncovered, at 100% for 2 minutes. Stir in onion mixture. Cook, uncovered, at 100% for 8 minutes, stirring once.
- Remove from oven. Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook at 100% for 6 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Taste and adjust seasoning.
