Ingredients
- 1 cup quick-cooking hominy grits
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 beaten eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or garlic-flavored cheese
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup chopped chives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Bring to a boil: 1 cup quick-cooking hominy grits, 3 cups milk, 1 teaspoon salt.
- Add and cook until thickened: 2 beaten eggs, 3/4 cup milk.
- Stir in and blend well: 1 cup shredded cheddar or garlic-flavored cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup chopped chives.
- Bake in a buttered baking dish 45 to 50 minutes.
- Serve hot.
