Ingredients
- 1 lb trout fillets cut into small pieces
- 10 new potatoes golf-ball size
- 1/2 medium onion chopped
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp flour
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Boil the new potatoes in 2 cups water for 10 minutes.
- Add the fish, onion, salt, and pepper. Simmer until the potatoes are done.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and milk into a paste; slowly stir the paste into the soup.
- Next, blend in the butter. Add a little more salt if needed. Simmer for another 2 or 3 minutes.
- Serve hot with plenty of bread. If you like freshly ground black pepper, take a few turns of your pepper mill over the soup.
