Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb trout fillets cut into small pieces
  • 10 new potatoes golf-ball size
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp flour
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions 

  • Boil the new potatoes in 2 cups water for 10 minutes.
  • Add the fish, onion, salt, and pepper. Simmer until the potatoes are done.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour and milk into a paste; slowly stir the paste into the soup.
  • Next, blend in the butter. Add a little more salt if needed. Simmer for another 2 or 3 minutes.
  • Serve hot with plenty of bread. If you like freshly ground black pepper, take a few turns of your pepper mill over the soup.
