Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 1/3 whole Garlic clove minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil leaf
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 3 tablespoon water or chicken stock
  • 1 cup uncooked brown rice or white long grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped peeled tomatoes
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 dash tabasco sauce

Instructions 

  • Cook bell pepper, onion, garlic, basil and rosemary in stock in a medium-size saucepan until tender.
  • Stir in rice, water, tomatoes, pepper and Tabasco sauce. Cover and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or until rice is done. Serve hot.
